Tuzla Mayor condemns Nazi graffiti

Tuzla’s Mayor condemned the anti-semitic graffiti that emerged on buildings where members of the Jewish community live in Sarajevo and Tuzla last week, saying that Bosnia was "reborn as part of the antifascist battle of all people".

“The spirit of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo and Tuzla is anti-fascist,” Mayor Jasmin Imamovic said. “Writing Nazi messages is an attack on the anti-fascist spirit and essence of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

“This is why we expect from the judiciary and police to find and severely punish the organisers and executors of this crude attack on the anti-fascist and humanistic values of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo and Tuzla, as the highest values of the 20th century,” the statement said.
