One person was apprehended Friday morning after the Thursday protest of war veterans in Sarajevo when two news reporters were physically assaulted suffering minor injuries, the police confirmed.

The journalists of Klix.ba news portal and Al Jazeera Balkans, who reported on the protest, were attacked by a female person who hit them with a metal bar. They were sent to a healthcare centre to undergo a medical treatment.

“The competent prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office was informed about the incident and our officers took measures and activities towards the identification (of perpetrators),” Sarajevo Canton Interior Ministry's Spokesperson Suvada Kuldija told N1.

The Klix.ba reporters received a new threat on Friday morning. An unknown man told them via phone he would be “cutting their heads on the streets.”

Kuldija confirmed that this incident was reported as well and that the police will take steps.

Editor of the Klix.ba news portal Dino Bezdrob said that they viewed the incident that occurred during the protest as an incident caused by an individual or a group of war veterans, “who used the gathering and attacked the photojournalist of our website and the Al Jazeera cameraman.”

However, the threats they received a day later was unexpected.

“We thought everything would end with the yesterday's event,” said Bezdrob, adding that the phone call they got was reported to the police and that hopefully the case will be processed before a court.
