A major fire broke out Tuesday on the territory of the southern town of Citluk threatening four villages and its inhabitants, the Citluk firefighting brigade told N1. The fire has been brought under control by the end of the day.
According to Citluk firefighting brigade chief Silvio Ostojic, more than a hundred of firefighters will keep watching the area during the night to prevent the possible spread of fire.
“Four villages were in a jeopardy, and the situation is under control now,” Ostojic said noting that the area hit by the fire was more than five kilometres long.
