Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik is a symbol of perseverance and intelligence, said renown filmmaker Emir Kusturica, whom Dodik intends to name his advisor once he takes over the office of Bosnian Serb Presidency member.
“I was his advisor since we know each other,” Kusturica said.
“He is a man who, in essence, doesn’t even need advisors, but he likes to hear things that amuse him which is a way of interpreting reality,” Kusturica told TVPrva.
Kusturica said Milorad Dodik, who won the post in Bosnia’s presidency at the October 7 election, is “one of a kind”.
“What he has achieved in life is a result of clear intelligence,” he said.
“He (Dodik) started at the vegetable market in Zagreb where he would bring peppers, onions and potatoes with his father’s truck,” Kusturica said, adding that now as a politician, Dodik operates on a much bigger open market “and bargains there better than anyone else.”
For Kusturica, the Bosnian Serb leader shows “an energy which hardly anyone can ever find an end to.”
