RS President: Serbia's powerful army to preserve peace

Republika Srpska entity President Milorad Dodik said that Serbia must have a powerful army in order to preserve peace.

Attending the Serbian Army’s military exercise Century of Champions 1918 – 2018 in Serbia, the President of Bosnia’s Serb dominates, semi-autonomous Republika Srpska (RS) entity, wished for eternal peace in the region.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he was delighted with what he had seen on Saturday during the exercise and pointed out that Serbia plans to improve its army to make everyone think twice before attacking Serbia.

“We’re doing this to protect our country’s liberty and independence and to preserve peace,” Vucic said.

The military exercise was also attended by Serbia’s Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and RS Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic, as well as ministers in the government of Serbia.

Serbia is holding a military exercise called the Century of Champions 1918 – 2018, marking the 100th anniversary of victory in the First World War.
