Bosnian Presidency member sends condolences to New Zealand

In a telegram sent to New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Bosnian Presidency member Zeljko Komsic, condemned the attack on believers in two mosques in Christchurch, calling it a “brutal act” inspired by extreme ideology.

“To you, the families of the victims and the citizens of New Zealand, I express sincere condolences regarding the terrorist attack in the town of Christchurch,” Komsic wrote.

“I strongly condemn the utterly brutal act of which the participants and organisers, I hope, will swiftly be detained and harshly punished,” he wrote.

“Extreme ideologies and cowardly acts deserve every kind of condemnation, and we in Bosnia and Herzegovina will provide our complete contribution to the battle against terrorism,” he added, wishing the the families of the victims “to find peace and strength in these difficult moments,” and “swift and successful recovery” to all those injured.
