A 4.3 Richter magnitude earthquake hit the northeastern Bosnian region Sunday morning, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which was the first to report the quake at 0905 a.m.

The earthquake hit Bosnia’s most populous region, Tuzla Canton, with epicentre 90 kilometres north of Bosnian capital and seven kilometres away from Mramor village.

“I have never felt such strong quake like this morning. It wasn’t comfortable at all,” a local said.

Serbian residents inhabiting the area near the border with Bosnia were also affected.

No casualties were reported.
