European Union (EU) and NATO should be open for Bosnia and Herzegovina said Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of United Nations during a meeting with Bosnia Presidency Chairman Zeljko Komsic, the Presidency stated on Wednesday.

Bosnia and its neighbours should solve their relations through an agreement, while the atmosphere to overcome the differences should be treated in a positive dialogue, said the UN’s top official.

Komsic emphasised that Bosnia and the neighbouring Serbia and Croatia understand each other very well. Bosnia is ready for dialogue which would solve all open issues, he added.

The Presidency Chairman also expressed hope for the improvement of relations with Serbia, given that the Presidency members are set to meet President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic soon.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is committed to a good neighbourly cooperation and solving all open issues with its neighbours, Komsic added.

As for relations with Croatia, he expressed hope that the two countries will resume positive dialogue following the upcoming elections in that country and that they will reach a solution on the open border issues.
