Police apprehended two persons under suspicion of being involved in the Friday break-in at RadioSarajevo.ba premises and the attack on reporters and editors of that news portal, a police spokesperson confirmed on Saturday.

Mirza Hadziabdic, the Spokesperson for the Sarajevo Canton Interior Ministry said that the police effectively discovered, identified and arrested two persons that are suspected of being connected to the Friday incident.

A.S. born in 1990 and A.B. born in 1991 were put under arrest a day after the incident.

Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office Spokesperson briefly said that the suspects will be kept in custody for 24 hours and that competent prosecutor will decide on possible detention.

The incident took place Friday evening after RadioSarajevo.ba published a fact-checked article about an FC ‘Sarajevo’ fan who was sentenced to five years in prison in Belarus for possession of drugs.

After the article was published, the journalists and editors “faced unprecedented death threats,” which also targeted their families.
