Nick Vujicic: I love this region, it runs in my blood

He has inspired millions around the world.

Nick James Vujicic is an Australian Christian evangelist and motivational speaker born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder (called phocomelia) characterized by the absence of arms and legs.

Vujicic was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1982 to Dusanka and Borislav Vujicic, Serbian immigrants from former Yugoslavia.

According to his autobiography, his mother refused to see him or hold him when the nurse held him in front of her, but she and her husband eventually accepted the condition and understood it as “God's plan for their son.”

“We can't, and we should not compare sufferings. We come together as a family of God, hand in hand. And then together coming and standing upon the promises of God, knowing that no matter who you are, no matter what you're going through, that God knows it, He is with you, He is going to pull you through.” – Vujicic referred to the Balkans and its people in an interview with N1's Ika Ferrer Gotic.

He stated that no matter where he goes, no matter how many people he meets, the Western Balkans is and will remain his home.
