The authorities in Pristina decided to declare Nobel laureate Peter Handke persona non grata in Kosovo, after the same decision was passed by authorities of the Sarajevo Canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Kosovo’s outgoing Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli wrote on his Twitter account that Handke and the Nobel committee showed a lack of respect for victims of genocide and added that he decided to declare the literary prize laureate a persona non grata because of his support to the late FRY President Slobodan Milosevic.
