Magnitude 6.9 earthquake in Turkey leaves at least four dead

At least four people have died in a 6.9 magnitude earthquake in eastern Turkey on Friday, the country’s Interior Minister, Suleyman Soylu, confirmed.

The epicentre of the earthquake was around the Sivrice district of the Elazig province.

The earthquake could also be felt in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Israel, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
