Sarajevo’s Mayor, Abdulah Skaka, will join thousands of guests from more than 100 world countries at the National Prayer Breakfast on February 6 organised by US President Donald Trump at the Hilton hotel in Washington DC.

“This represents recognition for the City of Sarajevo as an institution as well as for all we are doing to bring Bosnia’s capital back to the place it deserves in international relations. This will be a chance for us to talk to our partners in the US about the situation in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially regarding development projects which are ahead of us,” Skaka said on Tuesday.

“The US was and remains our biggest ally and partner and the people of Sarajevo will never forget that,” he added.

During his visit, Skaka will also meet with several US officials.

“Until now we have had very important and good cooperation with the US, but the National Prayer Breakfast is a gathering of the most influential people in the world and the City of Sarajevo has the potential and projects which could be interesting for investors and potential partners,” he said.
