After a 61-year-old woman from Srebrenik, in Tuzla Canton, was diagnosed with coronavirus, the town’s Crisis Staff decided to quarantine an entire local community of Srednja Spionica where the woman stayed, in quarantine, Anadolu Agency reported on Sunday.

The Crisis Staff decided to deliver 460 masks and pairs of gloves to the local population and to perform detailed disinfection of the entire local community.

We hope the quarantine won’t last long, but we must take all measures to alleviate the consequences. We’re still waiting for the test results for the entire local community,” Srebrenik Mayor Nihad Omerovic said.

The Srebrenik Civil Protection Crisis Staff pointed out that the infected person has had numerous contacts with other persons in recent days and therefore they fear that the epidemiological situation will worsen.

A number of preventive measures were taken in the Srebrenik area. Local communities were disinfected and a disinfection tunnel was installed. However, according to the Civil Protection Crisis Staff, there are still irresponsible individuals who do not comply with the prescribed measures.
