Mobile hospital with 500 beds arrives in Banja Luka

The first plane carrying a mobile hospital with 500 beds, which was purchased by the government of Bosnia's Serb-majority entity of Republika Srpska (RS), has arrived from Germany and landed at Mahovljani airport near Banja Luka, Anadolu Agency reported on Friday.

The RS government had decided earlier to purchase a mobile hospital with 500 beds and all the necessary equipment whose total surface area is some 6,000 square meters.

The RS government provided some €1.8 million for this hospital which will have all the usual equipment: reception, offices, pharmacy, fully equipped lab, equipment for nurses, ICU, showers, toilets, a generator, power distribution centre, water distribution centre and a kitchen.
