Germany will donate ten transport vehicles and equipment for detecting falsified documents, weapons, drugs and other illicit items, worth one million Euro, to Bosnia’s Border Police, German Ambassador, Margret Uebber, said on Thursday.

Uebber announced the donation at a meeting with Bosnia’s Security Minister, Fahrudin Radoncic, where they discussed security issues and the migrant crisis.

The two also signed an agreement according to which Germany’s Internal Affairs Ministry is donating 18 systems for conducting video conferences, worth 30,000 Euro, to Bosnia’s Security Ministry.

Radoncic thanked Uebber for the donation, adding that it will be of great use for Border Police in their fight against cross-border crime and illegal migration.

The two agreed that the issue of illegal migration is a great challenge for Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU member countries and that it should be tackled according to legal and humanitarian standards, Bosnia’s Security Ministry said.
