Monuments dedicated to victims of fascism, prison camp vandalised in Stolac

Unknown perpetrators vandalised overnight a monument dedicated to the victims of WWII fascism and a plaque dedicated to the inmates of a concentration camp during the 1992-1995 war in the southern town of Stolac.

The vandals spray-painted over the monument dedicated to the fallen fighters of the National Liberation War and victims of fascism and the plaque dedicated to the victims of the infamous Kostana Hospital, which during the past war served as a prison camp where members of Croat nationalist forces kept Bosniak war prisoners.

Bosnia’s Social Democratic Party (SDP) strongly condemned the vandalism saying it is “the continuation of the attacks on the antifascist battle.”
