Bosnia sees 233 new coronavirus cases, four more COVID-19 deaths

Another 233 people tested positive for the coronavirus while four more passed away due to COVID-19 across Bosnia throughout the past 24 hours, health authorities reported on Wednesday.

Of the 1,041 samples tested in the semi-autonomous Federation (FBiH) entity, 137 were positive while three people died due to the disease.

In Bosnia’s other entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 464 people were tested and the results for 86 of them came back positive. One infected person passed away.

Bosnia has been experiencing a surge in new coronavirus cases since mid-June.

According to data by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, a total of 7,411 people have tested positive for the virus in the country so far, while 235 have died due to COVID-19 and 3,335 recovered.
