Sarajevo General Hospital receives four new ventilators

Sarajevo General Hospital “Abdulah Nakas” received a donation of four 'Mindray' ventilators worth nearly €150,000 from the Sarajevo Canton government, the Hospital said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Mario Nenadic, who together with the Director of the Health Institute Sakib Katana and the Head of the UNDP Local Development Program in Bosnia Edis Arifagic attended the handover of the medical equipment, announced that they would soon hand over a donation of protective equipment for the staff of this health institution as well, the Hospital said.

The head of the General Hospital Management Board, Dr Sead Zeljo, thanked the donors, the Government of Canton Sarajevo and the Health Institute for this valuable donation.

He added that servicing of the ventilators was also included in the donation and that they will be put into operation quickly, the Hospital said.

The ventilators were bought by the cantonal Health Institute via the UN Development Programme
