Bosnian Serb entity PM rejects High Rep's report to UN Security Council

Bosnian Serb entity Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic thanked Russia and its UN Security Council representatives, Friday, who said it is high time the international community's Office of the High Representative, in charge of overseeing the implementation of the civilian aspect of the Dayton Peace Agreement which ended the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia, leaves the country.

Viskovic said that it was a well-known Russian position and a logical request, because “what should an administrator or a High Representative do in a democratic country in the 20th century.”

“What kind of country is Bosnia and Herzegovina if someone can make decisions outside the Constitution and the law. So, thank you to the Russian side on behalf of Republika Srpska (RS),” Viskovic told reporters.

The RS Prime Minister's remarks come a day after High Representative Valentin Inzko filed his regular report to the UN Security Council in which he accused the Bosnian Serb and Croat leadership of secession, disruptive actions and attempts to make Bosnia appear dysfunctional.

Viskovic pointed out that the Croat side was also dissatisfied with the report of the High Representative Valentin Inzko.
He stated that “Inzko's report is full of untruths, and that for 10 or more years he has only been saying that the problems of Bosnia and Herzegovina are Serbs or the RS and that everyone else is fine.”

“In that case, one must ask is there something wrong with that man,” Viskovic asked.
