South Bosnian health care workers protest demanding protection of rights

After being ordered by the Court to end their previous protest, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK) health care workers took to the streets once more on Friday, demanding the signing of the Collective Agreement with the cantonal government.

“We're protesting because we haven't been invited to sign a new Collective Agreement with the employer. We are waiting for the verdict of the Municipal Court after our general strike was stopped by their decision. The hearing is on Tuesday and I am fully convinced that the Court will make a fair decision in accordance with the law. We will continue the general strike on Wednesday,” said Dalibor Vukovic, head of the HNK Health Workers’ Union.
