The camp was originally planned to close on Friday at 11 am after the distribution of food and bags to migrants, and was then postponed to Saturday.

EU and IOM officials called for the camp to close due to poor and inhumane conditions before winter.

It is still unknown exactly where the migrants from this camp will be accommodated.

“Bira” was mentioned as one of the options, but the mayor of Bihac, Suhret Fazlic, said that he would consider it an attack on the city, while authorities in the Una-Sana Canton (USK), the part of BiH most affected b the migrant crisis, also oppose it.
