Alicia Kearns for N1: Inflammatory rhetoric cannot be used and go unpunished

N1

In November last year, a conservative member of the British Parliament, Alicia Kearns, asked Boris Johnson to impose sanctions on BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik and others.

In the first reaction to Monday's imposition of sanctions, Kearns told N1 that they are a message that inflammatory rhetoric cannot be used and go unpunished and that others who do so can expect sanctions.

Kearns also said the UK Ambassador to Sarajevo can be proud of Dodik's comment on him today.

The UK Government has announced the first UK sanctions under the Bosnia and Herzegovina sanctions regime against tripartite BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik, as well as the President of the country’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Zeljka Cvijanovic, for “undermining of the legitimacy and functionality of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
