Official identification of one victim of the Srebrenica genocide was made at the Commemorative Center in Tuzla. The victim’s name Mehmed Beganovic, son of Mustafa, born in 1947 in Radjenovici near Srebrenica.
The victim is of Bosniak nationality, who disappeared in 1995 in the Srebrenica area. The identity of the victim was first determined by the DNA method, and today that identity was confirmed by the members of the closest family.
His remains were exhumed in 2004, from the Snagovo mass grave near Zvornik.
The identification was carried out by order of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton.
