The Association of Genocide Victims and Witnesses and the Mothers' of the Srebrenica and Zepa Enclaves appealed to Milorad Dodik, the BiH Presidency member, to stop threatening peace in Bosnia and the region, as well as to all those “violating the UN Convention on Genocide.”

They especially stressed the violation of point 1 of the UN Action Plan, because according to them, it provides for the possibility of conflict as a basis for committing genocide.

“We especially appeal to Nedeljko Cubrilovic, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska entity, who set out on the path of war criminal Momcilo Krajisnik, who is the only convicted war criminal in the history of international law who also served as an assembly speaker,” the Association said.

The appeal stressed that the victims will continue to cooperate with the UN and provide information on violations of the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and the UN Action Plan.

The association reminded Cubrilovic with several quotes from the Hague verdicts on the role of Krajisnik and the assembly he chaired:

“‘The role of Mr Krajisnik was crucial in committing crimes. The positions he held in the Bosnian Serb leadership gave him the authority to make it easier for military, police and paramilitary groups to carry out the goal of a joint criminal enterprise.’

The Bosnian Serb Assembly has called for territorial demarcation with political communities of other ethnicities in BiH. The proclamation of the Republic of the Serb People in BiH in January 1992 was the last step in the gradual construction of a separate entity in BiH. The Trial Chamber finds that they have promoted territorial division along ethnic lines and the establishment of separate, parallel political, police and military institutions for Bosnian Serbs since May 1991,” the associations quoted in their appeal to Bosnian Serb officials.

In August 2021 they sent a report to the UN Secretary-General's Special Adviser on Genocide Prevention, Alice Nderita, and to Karim Khan, the International Criminal Court Prosecutor for the threat to peace in BiH and the region as well as violations of the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
