Vojin Mijatovic, the vice president of Bosnia’s Social Democratic Party (SDP) said Sunday that he had been informed by the Hotel Bosna in Banja Luka, the administrative centre of the Republika Srpska entity, that they had to cancel the ceremony on the occasion of the BiH Statehood Day over alleged political pressure.

According to Mijatovic, a solemn academy was planned on Thursday on the occasion of November 25, the BiH Statehood Day, adding that the hotel told him they had to cancel the event due to political pressure and a large number of calls last night.

“I thank the people from Hotel Bosna. I am aware that they are under pressure. I would like to inform all those invited that we will find a new location for the academy by tomorrow, if others do not dare because of the pressure, the academy will be held in the premises of the SDP BiH in Banja Luka,” Mijatovic stated.

He added that unfortunately, fascism lives in Banja Luka in 2021.

“You know that pressure doesn’t work on me and the SDP BiH, and so the solemn academy will be held on November 25, 2021. at 6 p.m., so they [the RS authorities] can send the regime police as much as they want. See you on the BiH Statehood Day. Death to fascism, freedom to the people,” said Mijatovic.
