After learning that the BiH Prosecutor's Office did not initiate proceedings ex officio, after at least two public addresses by BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik in which he verbally attacked BiH Central Election Commission member Vanja Bjelica-Prutina and the Central Election Commission, the Commission said Thursday they decided to take concrete steps in this regard.

In this regard, the Commission made a report against Dodik on suspicion of committing a criminal offence under Article 145a of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it will be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The election watchdog also thanked all international officials in the country and individuals from BiH who supported the Commission and Vanja Bjelica-Prutina and sent special thanks to Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec, Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH, Johanna Stromquist, the Ambassador Kingdom of Sweden in BiH, Matthew Field, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ekaterina Dorodnova, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and the US Embassy in BiH.

As an independent state body, The Central Election Commission of BiH said they will continue to perform tasks within their competence in accordance with the law.
