Bosnian film director Jasmila Zbanic was nominated for best director, and her film about the 1995 Srebrenica genocide "Quo Vadis, Aida?" was nominated for the Best Non-English Language Film BAFTA Award, presented by the British Film Academy.

Jasmila Zbanic's film thus became one of the top competitors for the BAFTA award in 2021, and apart from her, other films nominated for the award are Thomas Vinterberg (Another Round), Shannon Murphy (Babyteeth), Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), Chloe Zhao (Nomadland) and Sarah Gavron (Rocks).

BAFTA awards will be presented Sunday, April 11, at the 74 award-giving ceremony.
