BiH Presidency Chair Zeljka Cvijanovic sent a telegram of condolence to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin regarding the gas explosion in a residential building on the Russian island of Sakhalin.

“It was with great sadness that I received the news about the tragic event in the Sakhalin region, in which the residents of a residential building were killed as a result of a gas explosion. I was deeply shaken by the knowledge that there were also children among the victims,” Cvijanovic noted.

She stated that in these very difficult moments for the Russian Federation, she sincerely regrets the accident and the loss of human life.

Nine people, including four children, were killed in a gas explosion in a five-story building on the island of Sakhalin in the Russian Far East.

Regional emergency services state that there are more people under the ruins of the building.
