The Steering Board of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SSSBiH) adopted the Decision on holding a protest walk on June 24, during their regular session on Sunday, Fena news agency reported.

The protest, which will start in front of the seat of the Association of Employers and end in front of the seat of the Government of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) entity, will be held on the account of the request that the FBiH government adopts the law on the minimum wage urgently and without any delay, raising it to net €500 per month, from today's net €203.

Among other things, they will demand the adoption of Amendments to the Labour Law in the text proposed by the SSSBiH, which was supported by two commissions of the FBiH Parliament, and the signing of branch collective agreements.

“We demand the binding of services for all workers who have not had the bound so far and that the Law on Occupational Safety of the FBiH be implemented and that workers be provided with safe jobs,” the SSSBiH statement said.

In accordance with the current epidemiological measures, 100 representatives of trade unions from the entire FBiH and all branches and areas of activity will take part in the protest walk, the trade unions announced.
