International community representatives in Bosnia are standing idly by and silently approving the overall integration of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity and Serbia while paying lip service to BiH’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, RS Vice President, Ramiz Salkic, said on Wednesday.
Salkic strongly criticised the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Bosnia, which oversees the implementation of the 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement that ended the war and contains the Constitution.
“What does it mean to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina when it comes to the full integration of the educational process of the RS entity and Serbia,” he said, adding that this is also happening across other sectors, including healthcare and holiday policies.
“What does territorial integrity and sovereignty mean when half of the territory of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in every form tied to a neighbouring state and when it is completely turned to another state, and not its own. Then territorial integrity and sovereignty will be just a phrase that will one day cease to be used,” he said.
“The behaviour of the OHR and the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina so far towards these deviant behaviours indicates tacit agreement with these processes,” he concluded.
