“Speaking of my homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina, I urge you to imagine a country in the heart of Europe, at the crossroads of the worlds, with an extraordinary geographical position, a country with 50 percent of its area covered by beautiful forests, a country with more than 280 rivers, some of the most beautiful ones in Europe, a country with more than 100 lakes, 4 national parks and two large nature parks, as well as the last rainforest in Europe, a country that has hundreds of national monuments and a rich cultural and historical heritage, which has 4 monuments on the list of world cultural the heritage of UNESCO, which has Nobel and Oscar winners and which hosted the 1984 Winter Olympics, which is home to warm, smart and talented people. If you have imagined a state with such natural and cultural riches and potentials that I have described, then you should know that such a state exists and that it is called Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Zvizdic said.

Zvizdic said that Bosnia has “a strong interest in being a part and driver of positive processes, which include connecting, cooperating and implementing projects of general interest.”

“Entrepreneurs, educated workforce, natural resources, access to finance and geographical proximity to large markets and the EU, with which we share 1,000 km of borders, make BiH a good and reliable partner for economically developed countries in the east and west,” he said.

Most of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina see the future of their country in the European Union and NATO integration. In the past years, we have worked hard to meet the conditions we and we want to believe that we are on the right track to achieving these goals,” he said.

“The processes we are striving for are important for achieving lasting stability and prosperity in BiH, and we expect Bosnia and Herzegovina to become part of the European Union, to which it belongs in terms of its geographical and strategic position,” Zvizdic said.
