Bosnia’s Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices has approved the Russian vaccine against the corona virus, Sputnik V, for use in the country.
“The Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of BiH checked the quality of the Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine and determined that the tested sample of the said vaccine corresponds to the declared quality in terms of the tested parameters,” the agency said, adding that now the conditions are in place for beginning the process of immunization of the population with the vaccine.

Last week, 2,000 doses of Russian vaccines arrived in BiH which the Health Ministry of the country’s semi-autonomous Republika Srpska (RS) entity procured.
RS Health Minister, Alen Seranic, said another 200,000 doses for 100,000 people are expected to arrive in the second half of February and the same amount by mid-March.
