Voter turnout in Bosnia's general election by 3 p.m. on Sunday was 35 percent, according to the Central Election Commission.

Suad Armautovic, the commission chairman, told a press conference that 1,164,261 voters cast their ballots by 3 p.m., which is 35 percent.

“This is satisfactory, we must be satisfied with that. The turnout is different in entities but this is overall number. I would like to invite all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are eligible to vote, to do that,” said Arnautovic.

He also said that two polling stations were temporarily closed for two hours due to the death of voters and their working hours will be extended for two hours as well.

As for the reported incidents in the towns of Doboj and Zvornik, Arnautovic said that one incident was caused by a verbal argument, while the other emerged after an observer took a photo of voters waiting in the queue in front of the polling station.
