Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded another 512 coronavirus cases and 16 deaths among Covid-19 patients, the healthcare authorities confirmed on Saturday morning.

The new results came out of 2,796 lab tests performed on the samples of those who reported infection symptoms.

The Federation (FBiH) entity has so far confirmed 82,618 Covid-19 patients out of 435,785 coronavirus lab tests. The region logged 2,620 deaths among those who contracted the novel virus. The healthcare authorities confirmed that a total of 75,702 patients have recovered, and currently there are 4,296 active cases in this part of the country.

As for Republika Srpska (RS) entity, its healthcare authorities recorded a total of 42,141 infection cases and 2,202 fatalities among Covid-19 patients. So far, 33,664 patients have recovered and 471 are hospitalised at the moment. A total of 195,376 has been tested for coronavirus infection in this region.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit, has confirmed the total of 3,290 coronavirus infection cases, with 2,919 Covid-19 patients who have recovered. The region's coronavirus death toll stands at 173.

Bosnia and Herzegovina currently has 10,769 active cases, according to official data.
