Bosnia national football team was defeated by Finland in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers match on Saturday and lost the opportunity to qualify for the prestigious competition taking place in Qatar next year.

The Finish team has beaten the Bosnians at the home stadium in central town Zenica 1-3.

Bosnia will play the remaining match within the qualifiers against Ukraine on Tuesday but regardless of the results it will make no significant change to the Bosnian team status in Group D.

Hours before the match started it was confirmed that Bosnian team's captain and striker Edin Dzeko would not play due to injury.
