Bosnia men's national rafting team won a gold medal in the sprint discipline during the World Rafting Championship 2022 taking place in Banja Luka and Foca, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from May 25 through June 1.

The Bosnian master team consisting of Andrej Zamolo, Nebojsa Tadic, Dragan Bijelic and Igor Kuzmanovic, and Goran Pasic as reserve team member, finished in 72.14 seconds, beating the Brazilian team by 0.78 seconds and the Czechia which finished the race in 74.23 seconds.

This rarely happens. We were in many world championships and proved our quality there, but we never won a medal. It was about time to get there here on our track,” said Kuzmanovic.

According to him, the team stands a great chance in the Head-to-Head category.

Banja Luka, the administrative centre of Republika Srpska entity and Bosnia's second largest city is the host city for the IRF World Rafting Championship for the second time.
