The French government has made the donations of vaccines against COVID-19 one of its priorities, in solidarity with the countries affected by the pandemic, helping speed up the vaccination coverage around the world.

France was the first country to allocate vaccines under the COVAX mechanism in April this year and has since pledged to donate 120 million doses by the end of the first half of 2022, of which 67 million have already been donated to COVAX.

the country is thus the third country, after the United States and Japan, to provide the most doses within the G7 group.
