Danis Tanovic, Oscar-winning Bosnian director, has started shooting his new film on Monday within the 'Sarajevo City of Film for Global Screens' project.

The film whose plot revolves around two owners of traditional shops in Sarajevo's Old Town who make grilled minced meat dish known in local languages as ‘ćevapi’ will be named ‘A Ten in a Half’. The two protagonists clash over who makes better ćevapi but the main topic of their discussions are actually the life decisions and accepting inevitable changes.

“Everything in Sarajevo may be ridiculed and the subject of jokes, except for the one thing – the answer to the question: where are the best ćevapi in Sarajevo,” Tanovic said.

The film crew will include actors Branko Djuric and Izudin Bajrovic, who worked with Tanovic in his Oscar-winning ‘No Man's Land’ and ‘Death in Sarajevo’ as well as Kerim Cutuna and Helena Vukovic as the lead roles.

The Sarajevo City of Film for Global Screen (SCF GS) project focuses on directors from Southeast Europe whose films have previously been screened and awarded at Sarajevo Film Festival. The film producers are Mirsad Purivatra, the Sarajevo Film Festival director, Amra Baksic Camo and Jovan Marjanovic.
