Bosnia's RS entity govt decides to borrow €300 mil at London Stock Exchange

The Government of Bosnia’s semi-autonomous Republika Srpska (RS) entity accepted in a session late on Tuesday a decision to borrow 300 million euros at the London Stock Exchange.

“In accordance with the adopted Budget of the Republika Srpska for 2021 and the Decision of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska on long-term borrowing for 2021, Republika Srpska has, through the Ministry of Finance, on April 20, 2021 successfully used the still favourable conditions on the international financial market and has, for the first time, issued 144A / REGS five-year bonds denominated in euros in the amount of 300 million euros at a coupon rate of 4.75%,” the RS Government said.

The transaction involved more than 54 funds, banks and other qualified investors from diverse geographical locations, the statement said.

“Republika Srpska continued to actively manage public debt with this transaction even during the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic,” is said.
