Bosnia's Civil Affairs Ministry has been notified that the country will get another delivery of AstraZeneca vaccines through COVAX mechanism at the end of April or the beginning of May.

The UNICEF field office in Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed that the new delivery of 81,600 doses will be carried out in two shipments. The first one arriving either at the end of April or the beginning of May will be followed by the second shipment five weeks later.

After several delays, Bosnia and Herzegovina received the first batch of Covid-19 vaccines it purchased through the COVAX system on March 25. The first delivery contained 23,400 Pfizer/BioNTech and 26,400 AstraZeneca doses.

Bosnia purchased the total of 1,232,000 vaccine doses through COVAX and depending on availability, the mechanism will be delivering the quantities and producers it has at disposal.
