President Zoran Milanovic is just hurting Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the only thing he has done is that they, who are literally victims of electoral engineering, are now isolated, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said on Friday.

The prime minister today visited Osijek and met with Mayor Ivan Radic and Osijek-Baranja County Prefect Ivan Anusic, after which he spoke to the press.

Asked about the recent NATO summit in Madrid, where Milanovic spoke about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Plenkovic said that with his “threat” of blocking Sweden and Finland and making their NATO membership conditional on solving the issue of the inequality of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he “has shown that the only thing he is ready to do is to abuse Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

“He's hurting Croats in BiH … who have been victims of electoral engineering for the last 20 years or so, and he contributed to their quickly becoming isolated,” said Plenkovic.

According to him, Milanovic turned out to be someone who is able to insult all the international partners involved, Bosnia and Herzegovina itself, Bosniaks, at a delicate moment, during negotiations between Croats and Bosniaks, political parties, to change the constitution and the election law.

“At the NATO summit, where Ukraine was discussed, he talked about BiH,” said Plenkovic, adding that he had given many more talks about Bosnia and Herzegovina.

All he did there was to give Croats in BiH false hope, those who think he can do something, yet he can do absolutely nothing, Plenkovic said.

“He hasn't done anything. You have zero and damage,” he said, adding that he and the government “are there for Croatian citizens” but that he did not know who Milanovic was there for.
