Condolences to the Royal Family and the people of the UK keep coming from Bosnia as Serb Presidency member Milorad Dodik and Canton Sarajevo’s Assembly and Government send letters expressing deepest regret over the passing of the British Sovereign.

“To the Royal Family and governments and citizens of the countries of the Commonwealth, I convey my profound sympathy and sincere condolences on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II's death. The life and legacy of Britain’s longest-serving monarch will remarkably remain among the most important events of the history of the world,” Dodik wrote.

Canton Sarajevo officials and institutions sent their letter of condolences to the British Ambassador Julian Relly and the Embassy in Sarajevo.

In their telegram, they pointed out that Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered as one of the greatest figures in history.

“With her many decades of service to the nation, as well as her character, Queen Elizabeth II has gained enormous respect in the world. The citizens of Sarajevo will especially remember her for her good heart and the compassion she showed with them in the most difficult moments of the siege of our city,” stated the condolence telegram.
