Heavy rain that caused flash floods in larger parts of Sarajevo Canton, has also affected the Konjic town area, south of Sarajevo in the Herzegovina region, where the Neretva river level has dramatically increased threatening nearby homes and cutting off villages.

N1's Adisa Imamovic, who was reporting from the area, said that the civil protection teams were preparing plans for food and water delivery for residents of the villages that were cut off by flood water.

A popular tourist site ‘Dzajica Buk’ was flooded for the first time in the past 60 years, the owner told N1.

The Hotovlje village, two hours drive away from Konjic, is seriously threatened with landslides that were caused by the flooding.
