German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina Thursday.
According to the Office of the High Representative (OHR), Baerbock will meet with High Representative Christian Schmidt the same day.
The head of German diplomacy is one of the most vocal advocates of sanctions for BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik.
“One of the first things I did when I became a Minister was to make it clear that the things Dodik is doing are not acceptable. It’s a violation of everything we have agreed on. We must ensure that the people there (in BiH) live in peace and that we don’t have new divisions in the region. What am I doing about it? I can't tell you just yet… but I can say that we are investing a lot of energy and my Ministry is working on it. I will travel there soon and there I will repeat the message that we will stand with the region very closely,” Minister Baerbock pointed out earlier.
