Iranian companies interested in investing in BiH

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Reza Ghelichkhan visited Bosnia’s Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) Tuesday and met with Director Milica Markovic to discuss investment opportunities, Fena news agency reported.

Ambassador Ghelichkhan stated that Iranian companies are especially interested in investments in the field of energy, agriculture, metal processing and automotive industry.

Director Markovic familiarized the Ambassador and his associates with the work of the Agency, investment opportunities in BiH, FIPA’s cooperation with relevant institutions, and the coordination of the work of BiH institutions in the field of attracting foreign investments.

She also pointed out that Bosnia is the largest exporter of electricity in the region and that it has one of the lowest electricity prices in Europe.

Interlocutors agreed to cooperate in presenting and connecting Iranian companies and project owners from Bosnia when epidemiological conditions are met and to organize a business forum.
