The leader of Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegovic, said there is no agreement on organising a meeting between the leaders of Bosnia’s three strongest ethnic parties to discuss the political crisis in the country with Serbia’s and Croatia’s presidents acting as mediators.

Izetbegovic said that the announcement of Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan following his meeting with Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic, was wrongly interpreted.
"It actually refers to trilateral relations agreed on long ago between BiH, Serbia and Turkey. BiH will be represented by institutions, not by representatives of parties or peoples," Izetbegovic said.

Izetbegovic argued that the chances of reaching an agreement on Bosnia’s electoral and constitutional are slim at this point.

He said it was not possible to negotiate a solution even when the atmosphere was much more relaxed decades ago.

However, he said “if the representatives of the State Department and the European Commission ask us to sit down and talk, we will do it with the best intentions.”
