If Bosnian Serb Presidency member Milorad Dodik implements his plan of forming parallel institutions, reinstating the Republika Srpska entity Army (VRS) and creating parallel judiciary in this entity, the conflict between institutions will be imminent, Bosnian Croat Presidency member Zeljko Komsic told the Serbian daily Danas.

Answering the question regarding the real danger of the outbreak of a conflict in BiH and whether Serbia and Croatia are undermining the country’s stability Komsic said that “If Dodik continues like this, that is, if he strikes at state institutions by forming parallel institutions, by splitting the BiH Armed Forces and rehabilitating the VRS, or splitting the BiH judiciary, the conflict is completely imminent.”

He then clarified what he meant by saying “If that happens, it will be, and I stress, a conflict between the state institutions and Dodik and his phalanxes, and not a conflict with the Serb people. I stress this so that no one gets any ideas that a [military] conflict was imminent because the propaganda machinery from the RS and Serbia is known for that – they have the tradition of falsifying the statements of those who support peace and embellishing the statements of those who threaten it.”

Komsic warned that everyone in the RS, as well as Serbia, should think twice about what Dodik is doing.
