Bosnian Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic presented a diplomatic passport to Lana Pudar, the country’s best swimmer, on Wednesday, as support and recognition for her contribution to BiH's sport.

According to Turkovic, her medals brought special joy and made the local population proud, and her success is an inspiration to young people to strive for better and especially to do so in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We are all touched by your optimism, your attitude towards the state of BiH, your patriotism. It takes on a deeper and much greater significance in such challenging times. It’s my pleasure to hand you the diplomatic passport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I believe that it will be a relief and a small contribution to the continuation of your successful career,” Turkovic told Lano Pudar.

Pudar thanked her for her concern and trust, especially for receiving the diplomatic passport for her achievements as a young person.

“It’s a great honour and pleasure for me to receive this passport, it means a lot to me. Thanks to my achievements, I managed to get a diplomatic passport at the age of 16. It's a really big thing,” she noted.
