Firefighters are currently trying to put out a huge fire that has engulfed the area of Boracko Lake in the municipality of Konjic.

Husein Hodzic, an assistant to the mayor tasked with civil protection issues, told N1 that the fire is spreading and all available teams are on the ground. High temperatures and wind are making it more difficult for firefighters to put the blaze under control, he said.

“There is a possibility that the fire could reach the village of Dolovo and endanger residential buildings. All fire brigades are on the ground and will try to save the homes,” he added.
